CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - The Chillicothe Paints, presented by CohenOrthopedic, grabbed a 10-5 win over the Full Count Rhythm Tuesday night at VA Memorial Stadium.
Starting Pitching
- Jack Rollo made his first start of the summer for the Paints, throwing six shutout innings while allowing just two hits, walking two and striking out five.
- Full Count's Nick Judd didn't allow a run until the Paints broke through in the fourth, he finished with three runs allowed, two earned, on five hits while walking one and striking out four over five innings.
Scoring
- The Paints got on the board first. Alex Monile collected the Paints' first hit of the game with a leadoff single in the bottom of the fourth, later scoring on an RBI double by Felix Polanco.
- Chillicothe made it 3-0 with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth. With Cole Raile already aboard, Clay Burdette singled to left and the ball rolled under the Full Count fielder's golve to the wall, allowing Raile to score and Burdette to advance to third. Burdette scored on an RBI single by Alex Bemis.
- Drew Charney led off the top of the seventh with a walk and Jacob Rowold followed with an opposite-field two-run home run, cutting the Paints lead to 3-2.
- In the bottom of the seventh, Cole Burdette stole second and, when the throw went into center field, he went to third. The centerfielder's throw to third went out of play, scoring Burdette, making it 4-2 Chillicothe.
- Full Count scored four times in the top of the eighth to grab its first lead at 5-4.
- In the bottom of the eighth, Eric Colaco singled, stole second and third, then scored on an RBI single by Polanco, tying the game at 5-5.
- Later in the eighth, with the bases loaded and one out, Railey and Burdette were hit by pitches, each scoring a run to make it 7-5.
- Bemis followed with a three-run double, capping the scoring at 10-5.
Closing it Out
- Carter White (1-0) earned the win for Chillicothe, throwing the final two innings while surrendering one unearned run on two hits, walking one and striking out two.

- The Paints and Rhythm play game two of the three-game series at VA Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday. It's Winning Wednesday at the ballpark, as four lucky scorecard holders will win a $50 gas card from Valero.
