The Chillicothe Paints, presented by CohenOrthopedic, shut out the Normal CornBelters 3-0 at VA Memorial Stadium Saturday night.
Isaac Bellamy (1-1) and Ashton Wolfe (1) combined to allow just six hits, walking and striking out eight en-route to earning the win and save, respectively.
Tripp Johns had the game-winning, RBI hit with two outs in the second. The Paints added a pair of runs on wild pitches in the seventh.
Chillicothe and Normal play again Sunday at VA Memorial Stadium at 6:05 p.m. It's Kids Day by Subway - all kids, 12 and under receive free admission and can run the bases and meet the players on the field after the game. The will also wear their alternate unforms and play as the Mill City Stacks.
