Justin Gorski Re-Signs With Paints
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - The Chillicothe Paints, presented by CohenOrthopedic, announce the re-signing of infielder Justin Gorski for the upcoming 2026 season which begins Tuesday, May 26.
The Rockford, Ill., native played in 34 games for the Paints last summer, hitting .258 with four doubles, three triples, a home run and 10 RBIs. He also walked 16 times and stole six bases while holding an on-base percentage of .395.
Gorski posted eight multi-hit games last summer, including three games with three hits each. He posted a season-high three-RBI game at Normal June 6. In a road game against the Hoots on June 25, Gorski hit his only home run of the season over the 40-foot-tall wall in right field at CarShield Field in O'Fallon, Mo.
Defensively, Gorski made just four errors last summer, posting a .973 fielding percentage and factoring into 20 double plays. He ranked second on last year's Paints with 86 assists.
This spring (as of March 16), Gorski is hitting .372 with two home runs, five doubles and seven RBIs through 13 games played for Maryville University (NCAA DII, Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference).
Prior to playing at Maryville this spring, Gorski played two years at Miami University.
The 2026 season will mark Gorski's third in summer collegiate baseball, having played for the Lima Locos of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League in 2024 and with the Paints in 2025.
