Bio

As Director of Baseball Operations, Brian Mannino has been the architect of every Chillicothe Paints roster since the start of the Prospect League era in 2009, producing more wins than any other program in Prospect League history. Through 16 seasons, the Paints have made a league-record 12 playoff appearances, won a league-record seven division titles, appeared in a league-record six Prospect League Championship Series' and won a league-record four Prospect League Championships (2010, 2019, 2022, 2023).

Mannino is a member of The Ohio State Univeristy's Athletic Hall of Fame. He played baseball for the Buckeyes from 1992-95, winning two Big Ten Tournament Championships and making four NCAA tournament appearances. Mannino earned Third Team All-America honors following his sophomore season in 1993 and led the Buckeyes in home runs that season with 12. In 1994, he was an Honorable Mention All-American. He was a First Team All-Big Ten honoree in both 1993 and 1995 and was a Big Ten All-Tournament Team selection in 1993 and 1994. Mannino, who served as a team captain in 1995, is sixth in Ohio State program history in career batting average (.362), tied for fourth in hits (250), tied for 10th in doubles (45), tied for fifth in home runs (35), sixth in runs scored (174) and second in RBI (180). 

After his collegiate career, Mannino played three seasons of independent professional baseball, including for the Chillicothe Paints in 1997. 

Following his playing career, Mannino then spent five years as an assistant coach at Ohio State under Hall of Fame Head Coach Bob Todd. 

Mannino returned to Chillicothe as the team's first field manager for the Prospect League version of the Paints in 2009. In 2011 he relinquished on-field managing duties, moving to his current role.
