CHILLICOTHE PAINTS HOSTING PIXELLE EMPLOYEES NIGHT JULY 21
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - The Chillicothe Paints, presented by CohenOrthopedic, are hosting Pixelle Employees Nightas the Paints host the Johnstown Mill Rats at VA Memorial Stadium Monday, July 21 at 7:05 p.m.
Current Pixelle employees must show their employee ID to receive free admission with additional family members admitted for $1 each.
The first 200 fans through the gate will receive a commemorative t-shirt honoring the Mill and the alternate identity courtesy of CohenOrthopedic.
"We hope to bring a little relief to a very stressful time for all involved," said Chillicothe Paints President Bryan Wickline. "We hope you'll come out and enjoy an evening with family and friends, and friends that have become family."
Dr. Brian Cohen of CohenOrthopedic is donating $10,000 to employees and their families affected by the plant's impending closure. 20 employees will receive $500 each via a drawing during the game.
"I've been practicing orthopedics in Ross County for nearly 25 years, and like so many in our community, I have close ties to the Mill — friends, neighbors, and many of my patients have worked there or have family who do," said Dr. Brian Cohen, Founder of CohenOrthopedic. "This donation is a small way of saying thank you to those who have been part of the 'Mead' legacy. At Cohen Orthopedic, we appreciate you, we stand with you, and we're here to support you through these uncertain times."
For the first time in the 32-season history of the Chillicothe Paints, the team will unveil an alternate identity honoring more than 200 years of paper making in Chillicothe. Specially designed uniforms will be worn by the Paints with the game-worn jerseys being auctioned online after the game. More details on the jersey auction will be available at ChillicothePaints.com beginning on the day of the game. The Paints will also have limited "alternate logo" apparel available for purchase at the stadium's team store.
"The Paints will honor the history of your Mill by becoming an alternate team name for this game," Wickline added. "Please join us if you're able and maybe even win some cash courtesy of CohenOrthopedic!"
