2023 Roster: Nate Dorinsky

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - The reigning Prospect League champion Chillicothe Paints announce the re-signing of outfielder Nate Dorinsky for the 2023 season, which begins Wednesday, May 31, on the road against the Lafayette Aviators.

Dorinsky played in 49 games for the Paints last summer, hitting .215 with 12 doubles, two triples and one home run. He owned an eight-game hit streak from June 9-16, going 11-for-25 (.440 average) during that stretch. In a 17-game span from June 9 to June 24, Dorinsky went 19-for-53 (.358 average), collecting seven doubles, a triple, a home run, 10 RBIs and 21 runs scored. During the playoffs last summer, Dorinsky went 7-for-21 at the plate (.333) with a double, two triples and five RBIs in four games. In game three of the Prospect League Championship Series, Dorinsky helped the Paints lock up the title with two hits, three RBIs and two runs scored.

The 6-foot outfielder is currently in his sophomore season at Seton Hill University (NCAA DII, PSAC), where he owns a career .260 batting average over 22 games (13 starts). 

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Dorinsky is a graduate of Centennial High School and played club baseball for Bo Jackson Elite prior to his collegiate career.

The Chillicothe Paints open the home portion of their schedule Thursday, June 1 at VA Memorial Stadium against the Champion City Kings at 7:05 p.m. Draft beer will be just $2 for Thirsty Thursday and fans will be treated to a postgame Fireworks Extravaganza following the game.
