Paints Add Toledo Outfielder Kade Wroot
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - The Chillicothe Paints announce the signing of outfielder Kade Wroot for the upcoming season, which begins Wednesday, June 1 at Champion City.
Wroot is a junior at the University of Toledo, playing in 13 games this spring. He helped the Rockets to a win over Kent State after hitting a walkoff two-run hit.
Prior to Toledo, Wroot played three seasons at McCook Community College in Nebraska. In 2021, he played in 52 games, hitting .339 with 15 home runs, 54 RBIs and 61 runs scored. Wroot also collected 17 multi-hit games and eight with at least three RBIs. He hit nine home runs as a freshman in 2019 over 44 games, driving in 23.
A native of North Platte, Neb., Wroot was a three-sport athlete at North Platte High School, playing football, basketball and baseball.
