Bluffton's Seth Evans Signs With Paints

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - The Chillicothe Paints, presented by Adena Health System, announce the signing of pitcher Seth Evans for the upcoming season, which begins on the road at Champion City, Wednesday, June 1.

Evans is in his senior season at Bluffton University, appearing in 14 games so far this spring (as of April 28). The righthander owns a 3.38 ERA over 16 innings pitched and a team-best four saves, while opponents are hitting just .176 against him.

Evans has made 33 career appearances for the Beavers, amassing a 2.97 ERA over 36 1/3 innings pitched and racking up 32 strikeouts in that span.

Before transferring to Bluffton for the 2018-19 season, Evans began his college career at The Ohio State University at Lima. 

A native of Ada, Ohio, Evans is a graduate of Ada High School, where he earned four varsity letters in baseball, two in basketball and one in cross country. He was named All-Northwest Conference in 2015 and 2017 and received awards as a Northwest Conference Scholar Athlete.

The Chillicothe Paints open the home portion of their season Thursday, June 2 at VA Memorial Stadium against the Champion City Kings at 7:05 p.m. Draft beer will be just $2 for Thirsty Thursday, thanks to Budweiser, and a Fireworks Extravaganza will follow, sponsored by 94 Country.
