Chillicothe Paints seeking host families

Chillicothe Paints players travel from across the country to play in the Prospect League.

This means that they are hours away from friends and family members. For this reason, when they arrive in Chillicothe, they look for a touch of home to make them feel welcome.

We have been very fortunate over the past 17 years that numerous local and loyal families have opened their doors and their hearts to these young athletes that spend the summer in our city. Many have been hosting players for 10 or more years. However the Paints’ have expanded their roster this year, and new host families are needed. Host families are required to provide room and board for the player(s) and a stable, clean and healthy environment.

Being a host family is an excellent way for you to share in the day-to-day lifestyle of a possible future Major League player, and be a very important member of the Paints’ family…an experience that few people have the opportunity to enjoy.

Host families are not financially compensated, but perks for our host families, include two season tickets to all Paints’ home games, discounts at the Paints’ gift shop, and exclusive picnics for the players. The memories and relationships host families make with their “host sons” are invaluable and will last a lifetime.
