Four new signees will join
Paints in spring training
The Chillicothe Paints have come to
terms with four new players, including a pitcher and three
outfielders.
Chris Lopez, a right-handed hurler, played the
past three seasons in semi-pro leagues in New York. In 2006, he was
credited with a pair of no-hitters. Lopez’s fastball is consistently
clocked in the low 90’s, according to professional scouts and he
also has an outstanding curve ball. Lopez, age 24, played his
collegiate ball at Iona College.
Outfielder, Kyle Patrick, a product of Florida
State University and Florida Southern College, hit .307 with six
triples, 11 home runs and boasted a .546 slugging percentage during
his senior year in college.
Patrick, age 23 (6-3, 215), is also know for a strong
throwing arm and good speed.
Montana Dye, age 22, played college baseball at
Sacramento State University. During his senior year, he batted .316
with 11 two-baggers, three triples and eight round-trippers. Dye,
6-2, 220, had a hefty .535 slugging percentage.
Brad Bohannon, age 24, played at Atlantic State
University (GA) where he hit .303 his senior season. Bohannon, 6-1,
185, is a native of Trinity Texas where he resides in the off
season. Known for his versatility, Brad played all three outfield
positions in college.
